I was sitting in my math class today (obviously listening intently) and this observation came to mind. We have desks that look like this:
The little 'desk' part is honestly about four inches wide. It's pretty ridiculous in terms of functionality. But my observation was "what if you're left handed". Well the answer is you're screwed. Utterly screwed. I started looking around and everyone in my class was apparently right handed.... or they just don't take notes. Sorry, you lose. No notes. Who came up with this? Sure it saves space but really....lame.

They do make left handed versions of those desks. When I taught in the basement of the education building on the Tempe campus we had those desks, and there were exactly 3 left handed ones available, and 50 seats total.
And left handed people get the shaft again!!
You can put in the request for a left handed desk, but by the time they process your paperwork the semester will be over. Left handed people are screwed. Sucks to be me.
I love the color scheme. It's a little surprising!
No see, the right handed desks work for left handers if you wrench your body around and hunch over and give yourself back problems. No biggie....
Omg I am left handed. I think its bogus. Everyone acts like left handed people are rare or something. It is 10 times more work to find left handed binders and notebooks. I have such a hard time writing in regular binders because the rings get in my way and it feels uncomfortable. Same with notebooks. It feels like, well like someone who is right handed trying to write with their left hand.
